Sheth VD School is an invaluable property for the people of village Godhavi. The children and youth of the village have the facility and opportunity to get low-cost primary and secondary education under one roof that too near their doorsteps. The education system is as per the Gujarat State Education Board.

Mr Rajendra Sheth, Trustee

The foundations of Sheth VD School were laid by honourable Shri Sheth Virchand Dipchand with a vision to instill the value of good education in the children and youth of rural India so that they can participate in the development of the country having entered a new century.

It has been about 121 years of imparting the value of better education and career to rural students. We have brought forward our students in the mainstream, raised the participation of girl child in education in a rural culture, and continuously increased the utilization of technology as an educational aid.

Though being a school in a rural setup, Sheth VD School enjoys the honour of establishing a computer lab and housing audio-visual aids quite early, even before governments’ grant-in aid initiatives in this direction.

At present the school focuses on providing education from 5th to 10th standard (grades in K12 terms). As the school does not believe in compromising on the quality of education, it has adopted this police due to limitation of funds.

However, with the Indian economy rapidly moving towards the tertiary phase of development where higher technical and vocational education is becoming more and more crucial, the management has decided to expand the academic facilities to reach the following academic structure:

– Nursery to 4th standard (pre-primary: proposed)

– 5th to 7th standard (primary: current)

– 8th to 10th standard (secondary: current)

– 11th and 12th standard (higher secondary: proposed)

– Diploma and vocational courses (proposed)

We would like to once again highlight that even in a situation where the government grant falls short in meeting the administrative and infrastructure expenses and the management incurs overhead losses, the management does not believe in collecting excess fees from the students.
